Charles L. Pulling's Obituary
Charles L. Pulling, 85, was born on December 17, 1936 to the late Willard and Inez Pulling.
Charles passed away on August 31, 2022. Beloved husband of Nancy Pulling. Cherished father of Chuck (Corinne), Chris (Linda), Chad (Kinder), and Carrie. Loving grandfather of Kevin, Justin (Jenna), Laurel, Jeremy, Veronica, Conner, and Carly. Dear brother of Harriet (George) Forkapa (both deceased), Mariana (John, deceased) Finohr, Laura Pulling (deceased), Kenneth (Dolly) Pulling (both deceased), Beverly (Milton, surviving) Tomsik (deceased), George (Joan) Pulling (both deceased), Willard (Angie) Pulling, Arthur (Anna, surviving) Pulling (deceased), Mario (Bobbi, surviving) Pulling (deceased), James (Sandy) Pulling, Jeanne (Bob) Miller.
Chuck's employment began in machinery, continued as a tool and die maker, and eventually led to the setting up of company machine shops. While a machinist by trade, Chuck was also a self-taught carpenter and did a wonderful job remodeling and creating furniture. Ultimately, Chuck retired from the Federal Government where he worked as a Quality Assurance Representative.
He surrounded himself with family first. Leading Cub Scout troops with the boys, always playing the "neighborhood quarterback" with kids on the block, and being the prettiest makeup model for his granddaughters. Travel, chess, and any type of board or card game with friends and family were also cherished activities for Chuck.
Friends and family are invited to visitation hours on Friday, September 2nd between 4:00-8:00pm, at Sunset Memorial Chapel, located at 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mary Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, located at 6455 Engle Rd, Brook Park, Ohio 44142 on Saturday, September 3rd at 9:30am (guests are advised to meet at the church). Following the Mass, burial will proceed at the Pinewood Garden Mausoleum in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. All are welcome to stay for a luncheon and fellowship in the Sunset Memorial Chapel after the burial.
The family is exceedingly grateful for the care provided to Chuck by the Hospice Services of Southwest General and kindly asks that any donations be sent to them at 18659 Drake Road, Strongsville, Ohio 44136.
