Uncle Chuck was always such a positive influence on my life. As an adolescent he gave me the opportunity to work in his fastener distribution plant. It was hard work, but the pay was fair and he was a good man to work for. If it wasn't for his generosity, we would have lost our home the summer of my junior year of high school. I am not sure that words can express how immportant his help was to our family. I always enjoyed spending time with Uncle Chuck. My favorite memory was when I invited him to join me for the Corvette track experience out at the I-X Center. They had brand new Corvettes and a course in the back lot set up with cones. We took turns thrashing our bright red model through the orange speed bumps. I can still remember the really tight decreasing radius turn that I was sure we were not going to make during his last run, but somehow he got her through without knocking over a single cone. That was really great fun! I am sad that he has left us, not for him, but for us. I really wish I had spent more time with him throughout his life. I can honestly say that every moment I spent with Uncle Chuck was enjoyable, and how many people can we really sat that about? I look so forward to seeing him again in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
