Christ George Spillas' Obituary
Christ George Spillas, age 87, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025. Born on March 15, 1938, to the late George C. Spillas and Mary Louise Spillas, Christ lived a life grounded in integrity, compassion, and deep devotion to his loved ones.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dorothy Spillas (nee Dill), who remained his steadfast partner and source of joy throughout their many years together. Christ also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, Colin, Luke, Brandon, Meredith, Cameron, Kennedy, Jeffery, Brian, Bryce, and Maggie, each of whom was touched by his warmth, generosity, and unwavering support. In addition to his parents, Christ was preceded in death by his sister, JoAnne Louise Spillas, in 2015.
A proud and accomplished professional, Christ dedicated many years to National City Bank, later PNC, where he served with honor and distinction. He retired as Vice President, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, diligence, and mentorship that deeply impacted his colleagues and community.
In his retirement, Christ found joy on the golf course, especially in the cherished company of his brothers-in-law and dear friends, William Dill and Jerry Dill, with whom he shared countless rounds and lasting memories until William’s passing in 2024.
Those who knew Christ will remember him as kind, considerate, and endlessly giving. His love was felt deeply by his family and friends, and his gentle spirit left a lasting imprint on every heart he touched. Christ will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever cherished.
Christ’s family will hold private services, and he will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, Ohio (Garden of Religion, Lot 66, Space 3). His family encourages those who loved Christ to honor him in their own way.
