Clayton L. Pepper, age 89, passed away on September 15, 2013.
Beloved husband of the late Dorothea (nee Hartping) (2001); Loving father of Karen (David) Hering, Marianne (Robert) Zwiener and Clayton (Carolyn) Pepper; Proud grandfather of Matthew Hering and Katherine (James) Budden; Julie (Ryan) Wodrich and Robert (Rachelle) Zwiener; Lindsey and Kristie Pepper; and Great-grandfather of Tyler and Troy Wodrich; and Andrew James Budden. Dear brother of the late Deforest (Louisa) and Wilbur (Betty).
Clayton was a WWII Veteran and proudly served in the US Navy on the destroyer escort, USS Walter S. Brown, as a Motor Machinist’s Mate First Class.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, N. Olmsted. Interment will take place immediately following at Sunset Memorial Park, where military honors will be held. Family will receive friends at the Chapel, on Tuesday evening, September 17, from 4-8 PM.
Clayton’s family suggests donations be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Drive, Green, OH 44685.
