Clenneth "Kenny" McEntyre's Obituary
Clenneth “Kenny” McEntyre, 89, of North Royalton, passed away September 18, 2017.
He was born in Plainville, GA, the son of the late Elbert and Clydene Holsonback McEntyre. He enlisted in the US Army on July 30, 1946. He was a military policeman stationed in Fort McArthur and Point Fort Lewis. Kenny was honorably discharged on January 18, 1948 and received the Victory Medal. Following his discharge, he met his wife, Rena “Sue” Stepp and they married in December of 1950 in Angola, IN. Kenny began his career as a machinist with General Motors in Parma on June 28, 1953 and retired on March 1, 1993 after 41 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 1005.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rena “Sue” Stepp McEntyre; his sister-in-law, Sarah (Bob) Smith; his nephews, Joseph (Joni) Smith and Robert (Heidi) Smith and his great nieces, Rebecca and Rachel and great-nephew, Taylor Smith.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 11AM-1PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where funeral services will commence on Friday at 1PM. Entombment will follow at the Westwood Abbey Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park.
