Corbit "Woody" Wiseman's Obituary
Corbit Dewitt "Woody" Wiseman, 89, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on December 6, 2024. Born on February 26, 1935, in Mabie, West Virginia, to the late Garrett and Birdie Wiseman, he was the youngest of 11 children.
Woody was the beloved husband of 51 years to Jean (née Kirchenbauer) Wiseman. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to enduring love and companionship. Woody is survived by his children, Karen Hughes, Ed (Pam) Demor, and Al (Julie) Demor; his grandchildren, Misty, Heather (Jordan), Steve (Stephanie), Ben, and Emerald; and his great-grandchildren, Brian, John, and Jane. He was also a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Woody had a proud 30 – year career as a Hi Lo Driver at the Ford Motor Co which he retired from. He had a profound love for the outdoors, known for meticulously maintaining his beautiful yard. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, with a particular fondness for National Parks where they could hike together. When they weren’t traveling and hiking you could find them on the dance floor, enjoying life to the fullest .Woody also had a passion for hunting. He was a sociable person, always ready with a smile and a helping hand.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday December 10, 2024 from 12pm to 2pm at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, followed immediately by a service in the chapel at 2pm.
