Crellen “Butch” Hopkins, Jr. of North Ridgeville, unexpectedly passed away November 13, 2013. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee McKay); loving father of Crellen III, Carrie Moore and Chrissy; step-father of Shelly Butler, Todd Hacker and Rick Hacker; cherished grandfather of Cam, Spencer and Lyndy Moore, Crellen IV, Ruby Hopkins and Elizabeth Crutchlow, Kira Hacker, Joey Sliva, Aurora Butler, Collin and Zac Cole, Michael and Nina Hacker and Alexander Bogner; great-grandfather of Logan Emery and Cameron Harvey; dear brother of Donald (Becky), Janette and Donna (Jerry) Fry; brother-in-law of Debbie (Theron) Holloway; uncle, great uncle and friend of many. Preceded in death by his parents Crellen, Sr. and Virginia (nee Kotala) and brother Tim.
Butch loved to camp, fish and hunt. He valued guns and worked very hard at work and home. He also treasured his children and grandchildren very much. He liked to travel and would help anyone that needed it. He was a Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11 AM in the Westwood Abbey Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted. Contributions suggested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 5700 Brecksville Road 3rd Floor Independence, OH 44131 .
