Dale Lemmeyer's Obituary
Dale E. Lemmeyer, 82, of Fairview Park, Ohio passed away on November 10, 2022. He was born on April 10, 1940, in Brook Park, Ohio to the late Albert and Cecelia (nee Fuchs) Lemmeyer. Dale will be remembered as an avid sports fan, automotive enthusiast, and history buff. Regardless of the season, he cheered on his Cleveland sports teams enthusiastically and enjoyed learning about military history. Also, he was mechanically inclined and enjoyed tinkering around his home. His laughter and spirit were infectious, and he was considered by many to be the life of the party. He will be missed!
Beloved husband of Betty (nee White) of 62 years; loving father of David (Debbie) Lemmeyer, Corrine (Jeff) Blauw, Dale (Sheila) Lemmeyer, Mark (Karen) Lemmeyer, Cynthia Lemmeyer, and Matthew Lemmeyer; cherished grandfather of Cynthia Marie Lemmeyer,Stephanie Ann Lemmeyer, Steven Anthony (Tara) Lemmeyer, Katie Lemmeyer (Kevin Asp), Kyle Blauw, Justin Blauw, Jessica Blauw, Abby (Brittany) Merkosky, Christian Peterson, Connor Peterson, Cecilia Peterson, Sean O. Peterson, Rachael Lemmeyer, and Amanda Lemmeyer; treasured great-grandfather of Zander Asp, Madeline (Maddy) Asp, Sebastian Moreno, Cooper Lemmeyer, Aviahna Merkosky, and Maverick Lemmeyer; and dear brother of Robert Lemmeyer, Glen Lemmeyer, and Betty Lang (all deceased), and Pat (Ron) Carlin.
A memorial visitation will be held on a Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 12-4 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11:30 AM at St. Angela Merici Parish, 20970 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, Ohio 44126. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dale’s memory to the St. Angela of Merici Parish at the above address.
