Dana Marie Brown's Obituary
Dana Marie Brown, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025 surrounded by her family from the comfort of her own home. Dear daughter of the late Don and Jacqueline Reisland; loving sister of Donna (the late Don) Thompson, Tom (Linda), Jim (Becky), Bob (Bonnie), Denise (Joe) Trapp, Debbie (Jeff) Mason, Doreen (Dave) Ostroske and Danita (deceased).
Dana was married to Al for 43 years; a bond built on deep friendship and love from the moment they met. Dana and Al were inseparable partners, involved parents, and appreciated life’s adventures, challenges, and blessings. They loved camping trips, biking, and being outdoors with family. She and Al traveled often, visiting Florida, California, Mexico, and spending time in their camper. She especially cherished the Rocky Mountains and wildlife on their trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone after retiring. One of Dana’s greatest joys was being near the ocean where she could spend hours with her goggles, watching the world beneath the water and hunting for shells.
She knew the value of family and carried that forward as a true matriarch. She was the devoted mother of Ken (Providencia), Karen (Seth), and Nick (Alexa), each of whom were the light of her life. Dana was immeasurably proud of the people her children grew to be and the families they built. She cherished the special relationship she held with each of them. She celebrated their milestones, supported them through challenges, and was always present. She welcomed their spouses with open arms and was profoundly grateful to have attended all her children’s weddings, welcoming the wonderful people they married into her heart and family.
Spending time with her grandchildren, Ama, Wesley, and Theo brought Dana deep joy. She held a special place in their lives, sharing countless moments of laughter, play, and love.
Dana brought joy, magic, and warmth to every occasion. She ensured birthdays and holidays were memorable by adding her own special touches and creating traditions. Her family loved partaking in all the silly competitive games she made up. She built a life rich in memories and connection. Her caring spirit extended far beyond her immediate family. She was also a dedicated friend and second mother to many.
Animals held a special place in Dana’s heart. She volunteered with dog and horse rescues and always made sure the birds and wildlife in her backyard were fed and watched over. She passed this deep care and respect for nature on to her children.
Dana retired from her successful career in banking technology after being diagnosed with cancer. Throughout her illness, Dana faced each challenge with remarkable courage, grace, and resilience. Even amid treatments and trials, she continued to support and care for those she loved, radiating positivity and light. Her strength and spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Dana’s faith guided her deeply. She prayed often and leaned on God throughout her life, especially during her cancer journey. Though she didn’t understand why it happened, she believed God never left her side and felt uplifted by the prayers of others. She often expressed how blessed she felt by the love and prayers of friends and family, and she wanted to thank all those who supported her and held her in their hearts.
Dana’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew her through every act of kindness, every shared memory, and every moment of joy we carry forward.
