Daniel Ray Karkoff's Obituary
Daniel Ray Karkoff, 68, of Westlake, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 31, 2022. He was born in Berea, Ohio on March 31, 1954 to the late Carl Karkoff and Norma Karkoff (nee Sammon). Dan will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Marti Karkoff; loving father of Kelly (Leroy) Croasmun, Daniel (Amanda) Karkoff Jr., Jamie (Kyle) Knapp; cherished grandfather of Ashley, Faith, Lee, Annie and Hayden; loving uncle to niece, Kerriann Karkoff; and a host of extended family and many dear friends. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings. Dan was a kind and generous man, eager to help any person or animal in need. He found joy in his long career as a truck driver, working on cars and loved telling a good joke. After his retirement in 2015 he was able to enjoy the things that he loved like camping, riding his motorcycle, working on CB radios and spending time with his beloved family. He cherished being a husband and a Dad but the moments that brought him the most joy were those spent with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 4-8pm at Sunset Funeral Services, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10 a.m. also at the Sunset Chapel.
