Daniel John Maichrye's Obituary
Daniel John Maichrye, 83, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 23, 1942, to the late John and Caroline Maichrye, Daniel lived a life full of love and adventure.
Daniel is survived by his son, Joseph (Jessica) Maichrye; his brother, David (Patricia) Maichrye; and his loving nephew and Godson, Michael Maichrye. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol, with whom he shared many wonderful years until her passing in 2010.
A dedicated electrician, Daniel worked tirelessly for many years before retiring. In his spare time, he was an avid outdoorsman. He found joy in nature with hobbies like fishing, hunting, and hiking. He was a member of Cleveland Hiking Club, where he created many memories with his club members.
Family was at the heart of Daniel's life. He cherished the close bond he maintained with his immediate family and enjoyed family gatherings, good food and cherished memories.
A visitation to honor Daniel will be held on May 15, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070. A service and burial will follow on May 16, 2025, starting at 10:00 am at Sunset Chapel.
