I was so sorry to hear about Dan passing. My condolences to the family. I only moved in next to him last November. I liked him immediately. He reminded me of my own Dad. He would go to the grocery store and come home and tell me what he had bought. I loved that. One time he was so excited that he had bought some cherry pie. I thought that the next time I had cherry pie I would take him a piece. Wish I would have gotten that chance.

I’m so saddened to learn of Mr Stech’s passing. He had a huge influence on me in my youth at St. Wenceslaus both from music classes, but mostly from the years in the boys choir. I still remember the midnight masses there, and the programs he put together for them with the combined men’s and boy’s choirs. I thought he was the world’s greatest organist, and he made music so much fun that I decided to pursue a career in music myself. My heartfelt condolences to the Stech family, may Our Lord comfort you in your sorrow and give His peace. Heaven just got a new organist and he is awesome.
Sir was a remarkable man that I feel blessed to have known. He was a great story teller from the Christmas cookies, pumpkin pie, his music teaching days, and even sharing stories of the war. He was devout to his faith and said his rosary daily praying for others. He has now arose in his glorious body and is reunited with the love of his life. Remember Mr . Stech very well from my days as a student at St Wenceslas.
Every so often he would bring a portable Organ into our classroom and we would all sing a variety of songs.

I remember Mr. Stech teaching music to our 8th grade class at St. Wenceslaus. He would come into our classroom carrying his briefcase and try to teach us preteens about music. I also remember when he arranged to make an album of the students singing Christmas songs. It was recorded in the church. He was such a nice man. May he rest in peace.
What an ideal life our "King" had. Always told us to keep working to secure his ss check! I can't remember him ever having a sick day in his life. Just once with his ear, and he simply had the tip cut off and moved on.
He took such good care of my sister as well. He was not only a "perfect" husband, but a devoted and patient father as well.
I can only say that it has been an honor to have him in our family for all these years. He will forever missed. Lois
