Darlene Neva Berwald's Obituary
Darlene Neva Berwald, 91, of Olmsted Township, Ohio, born on December 16, 1932, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024.
Darlene was predeceased by her beloved husbands, Donald Berwald in 2019 and Irving “Bud” Fraunfelder in 1995. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Linda Gaydos) Hawver, Leigh (Joe Kunstek) Smith, and Melanie (William) Deininger; and her step-children, Lynne (Rick), Laurie (Dennis), Lisa (John), Cheryl (the late Don), Sue (Bill), and Jan (the late Mike). She was also a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Dorothy Kenney, and her brothers, Donald and Lee Kenney. She enjoyed golfing and reading, and was a “snowbird”, spending winter months in Florida and Hawaii.
Darlene was a wonderful mother and a good friend to many. Her kind, loving, caring, and compassionate nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. with graveside service to follow at the Sunset Memorial Park Pinewood Garden Mausoleum.
