I remember Dave from Good Shepherd UM church. He was always so happy and a joy to see. He and my brother use talk after service. I was sad to find out that he was one of the people involved in accident I read about online. As a former teacher I knew the impact on the school would be far reaching but when I found out one of the people lost was Dave, my heart aches for his family. Losing a child and a sibling is very hard. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I have so many wonderful memories of Dave. Such a wonderful person and so full of life. I was a chaperon for the ski club in the 1990's and continued even after my children graduated from Tusky Valley. He was a great teacher and friend. I will miss his facebook' post. My heart is shattered. Sending hugs to his family and the community.
Dave was just a wonderful person. He was assistant director at camp Wanake for me when i was on staff '90-'93. He was so kind and thoughtful and a great leader. One of my memories was taking a backpacking trip in Pennsylvania with a small group from Wanake. it was a wonderful trip. Although it has been many years, many memories remain. My heart goes out to his family and close friends.
I don't know why I didn't stand and say it tonight, but just another person who thought you were very special. Loved you as a teacher and later, as a friend. My husband enjoyed your friendship, as well. One thing I took away from every story was that you were truly a shepherd.... You seemed to go out to the one's that needed you the most. You left behind a heck of a legacy. So many kids, you will forever impact. And to have done it for so many years, as if each year was the first. You never lost your drive. It truly came from the heart. You made me want to reevaluate and try harder even now. Truly inspiring. Thanks Dave. ❤️
With sincere sympathy to Mr. Kennat's family, students and friends. Although I did not know Mr. Kennat, when I read he was ski club advisor I knew he was a teacher who went 'the extra mile' for students. In heaven, every day is a powder day. Rest in peace.
My heart is saddened for the lose of a wonderful man, teacher and friend. Mr. Kennat was my Pre-Algebra and Algebra teacher in 2000-2001. He had such a passion for math and encouraged others to understand that passion. Prayers for his family and friends during this time of grief. May he rest in peace.
Thank you, Mr. Kennat for sharing your love of skiing with Tusky Valley! It was an absolute blast!! I remember one night in particular when the snow was still there but the air was very warm and we could all just ski without coats and in our jeans.
