David John Bryniak's Obituary
David John Bryniak, age 75, of Apex, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
David was born on October 28, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio. He is the son of the late Samuel and Anne (Maruska) Bryniak. Cherished father of Amy (Eric) Jnah and Kevin (Carrie) Bryniak; beloved Pop-Pop of Mya and Ryan Jnah; loving brother of Pamela (Jack) Heaton; treasured uncle of Meribeth (Matt) Keesecker and Jonathan (Claire) Heaton; survived by the mother of his children and former spouse (Judith Bryniak).
David was the most talented, popular and loved music/band teacher for the Garfield Heights School System (1960s-1990s). He is remembered for sold out band concerts, frequently driving to work with his coffee mug sitting atop his vehicle, the “blue jacket” (windbreaker) that he wore every single day that he taught students (regardless of the weather), and sitting at the piano in his band room playing and singing his original song “Down in the Valley where the Green Grass Grows…”. In his spare time, David enjoyed golfing, woodworking, drinking coffee with his buddies, listening to jazz music, and sitting in his blue oversized recliner chair while watching James Bond movies with the family dog. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Due to COVID-19, an in-person funeral service will take place in Spring 2021 (date/time TBD). Please contact Amy Jnah ([email protected]) for further information.
In lieu of flowers, monies can be directed to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
