David Carrick's Obituary
Charles David Carrick (63), affectionately known to friends and family as Chico, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Kathleen (Diamond), devoted son Jason and “daughter”-in-law Lindsay, beloved sister Kathleen, brothers-in-law Louis “Chip” (Sue) Diamond and David Diamond, sisters-in-law Erin Dean and Sherry Diamond, and adoring companion Ryleigh. Cherished Uncle and Godfather to several nieces and nephews, and treasured friend to many.
Predeceased by his parents Charles and Helen (Chaddock) Carrick, his father- and mother-in-law Harry and Catherine (Ralston) Diamond, brothers-in-law Phillip Diamond and Patrick Diamond, niece Christy Diamond.
David was a coveted special needs teacher in the Brunswick City Schools for 35 years. In retirement, David volunteered at Lifebanc and worked part-time at Cossett Creek Golf Course. An avid Cleveland Indians fan, he enjoyed golfing, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will take place Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 4PM – 8PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10AM at St. Mary of the Falls Church, 25615 Bagley Rd., Olmsted Falls, OH 44138.
