David Allen McCaskey's Obituary
David Allen McCaskey, 58, of Brooklyn passed away following a short illness on November 3, 2020. Born in Natrona Heights, PA to Sonja Vassil and the late Frederick McCaskey on January 10, 1962. Besides his father, David is preceded in death by his sister Deborah.
David is survived by his mother Sonja Vassil; siblings Frederick McCaskey Jr., Sandra (Ed) Nelson, Michelle (Craig) Capek, Christopher McCaskey, and Michael (Alyssa) Vassil; nieces and nephews Cindy, Carla, and Carrie Nelson, Madison Capek, Avery and Evan Vassil; many loving friends and other family members.
David had a long career in the corrugated box industry and was formerly employed by Giant Eagle of Strongsville. David was an avid fantasy football, Cleveland sports, and Ohio State football fan. He loved fishing, watching horse races, casino trips, and spending time with his family and his cat Buffy. For many years, David took care of his mother, Sonja, despite losing most of his eyesight. He was the best brother, uncle, and son anyone could ever ask for and more. In the days to come, David will be dearly missed.
