David John Miko's Obituary
David John Miko, 73, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Dave was born December 19, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Ted and Virginia Miko. Dave was preceded in death by his devoted wife Debbie, whom he cherished dearly and his loving sister Marsha Bendinger.
Dave lived a life full of love and dedication to his family and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Dave will be greatly missed as a dad to his son Brian and beloved daughter Jenny Miko. He was known as papa cha cha and poppers to his cherished grandchildren, Kaeley and Claire Miko, Ally and Matthew Herman, and Brooklyn and Denver Teresi. Dave is survived by his brother Jim (Diane) Miko, and his nieces and nephews Barbara (Michael) van der Biezen, Debbie (Mark) Nicholas, Chris (Julie) Miko, and Becky (Doug) Hasse. He also leaves behind his great nieces and nephews Taylor and Jenna van der Biezen, Jordan Nicholas (Joe Meckler), Paige (Nick) Pedraza, Sophie and Noah Miko, and Felix and Ina Hasse.
Dave was a man of few words, but when he spoke, it was often with a joke. He never took life too seriously, but nevertheless he loved deeply and gave endlessly. His heart belonged to his family. He lived for us and cared for us.
He was loyal, selfless, and full of love. A devoted dad and an amazing grandpa, he was the kind of man you could always count on.
He found joy in the little things: trips to Vegas, watching Gunsmoke, collecting coins, planting flowers, soaking up the sun, cheering on Cleveland sports, and sharing honey buns with his grandkids.
He was, and always will be, our rock. We’ll miss his jokes, his strength, and his endless love, but we’ll carry him with us, always.
