My son misses his mentor and music teacher Dave. He shaped his young music interests. Dave was a kind and insightful teacher. He is so dearly missed. My son ended up forming a band, PsychoFuzz, with another one of Dave's students. When they played lived, I felt Dave's spirit with them. Way back in high school when I was invited to sing in a band with Dave on lead guitar, i could tell immediately that he soared above us all in terms of sheer talent and ability. Dave Molnar was an absolute genius. I use to love introducing him onstage and rallying the crowd to cheer him on during those stellar solos from the Static days. Dave, you were a born superstar, and I am absolutely blessed to have had the chance to have known you and write and perform music with you. "Let Me Stay Here Tonight" was YOUR tune and a fan fave, and I keep playing it and hearing those cheers at that guitar work, knowing that your spirit will live on through us all and your music and your total generosity will continue to inspire generations. You are going to be missed, man.
Dave was a wonderful human being, a positive influence in every way, a fountain of musical knowledge, fun, and could weave a series of puns with finesse. My kids loved being in his shows, and I loved just being witness to the joy. He was generous with his praise, kind, and thoughtful. I surprised him with balloons and a crown on his 40th birthday. He was a good sport about it. I’m so very sorry he’s no longer with us. He will be missed, always.
David had been a beloved friend in our family and community for years. He was an abundantly talented, kind, and spirited man who genuinely loved his craft. He will be greatly missed and remember that no one in this world is ever truly alone.

The minute after our son took his first guitar lesson with you Dave, he was on a path that would literally change his life. You inspired him, encouraged him, made him express himself like never before. Your kind gentle soul warmed everyone who had the chance to meet you. You changed so many lives for the better. There is a void in all our lives now without you. May we fill it with your same love of music and passion for life. Rest in peace Dave.
