David Lee Oslin's Obituary
David L. Oslin, 91, formerly of Lakewood, Ohio, passed away on November 9, 2025.
Born on April 19, 1934, in Solon, Ohio, Dave grew up in Olmsted Falls. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Mary Oslin. He is survived by his children Lori (George Lopez) Oslin, Denise (Tom – deceased) Sorensen, and David (Susi) Oslin; grandchildren Steven (Cassandra), Daniel, Jessica (Angelo), Brian (Jennifer), Jennifer (Michael), Nicholas (Catherine), and Kristina; and great-grandchildren Noah and Finlay. He is also survived by his brother Earl. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Elva Oslin, grandson Michael, great-granddaughter Raegan, and siblings Ethel Mae, Irvin, Doris, Paul, Marianne, and Douglas.
Dave was a four-sport athlete in high school and qualified for the state track meet in shot put. He played football at Mount Union and later coached many youth teams. He proudly served in the U.S. Army with KMAG as a cryptographer.
He was passionate about history and was a dedicated Lincolnian, attending symposiums and making the Lincoln Pilgrimage in 1994. Dave volunteered for over 35 years with Compeer, spending time each week with individuals diagnosed with mental illness. In 1989, he was honored as the national Compeer Volunteer of the Year.
Dave was a loyal fan of Ohio sports, especially Ohio State, the Indians (Guardians), Browns, and Cavaliers. He will be remembered for his commitment to family, service, and community.

A visitation will be held on Saturday November 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A funeral service to follow immediately at 2:00 PM at Sunset Chapel.
