David J. Smith's Obituary
David J. Smith, 54, of North Olmsted, peacefully passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 with his family by his side.
He was born in Cleveland, the son of John H. Smith and the late Diane Smith (nee Ward). David is the loving brother of Sharon (Terry) Hupp, Carolyn (Thomas) Frohwerk and Wilma Rost; cherished uncle of Michelle Frohwerk, Michael (April) Frohwerk, Matthew Rost and Emily (David) Crider; dear step-son of Phyllis Smith.
He graduated from Lakewood High School and was employed as a mail sorter with Midwest Pre-Sort Mailing service. He loved architecture and cars and knew just about everything there was to know about them. His favorite automobile was the Duesenberg, and he had the pleasure of visiting the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum in Auburn, IN with his father. David had a strong faith and love in Jesus and knew his scripture well, smiling whenever he heard it. He was a caring and loving man who will be remembered for his kind, gentle soul.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10AM-12PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where funeral services will commence on Saturday at 12PM. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. dostalbokas.com
