David A. Urbach's Obituary
David A. Urbach, affectionately known as "Radio Dave," passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 76 in Cleveland, Ohio. Born on October 10, 1948, David was the cherished son of the late Dorothy (née Tintor) and Harry Urbach. He was a devoted nephew to Ralph Urbach, Kenny Kushner, Ann Smitley, Zora Kocin, and the late Alex Tintor, Helen Amoroso, and Eva Sacks. Proud godfather to Jake. Beloved cousin to many.
David proudly served his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Korea as part of peacekeeping efforts. His dedication to service and his unwavering sense of duty were hallmarks of his character.
Professionally, David made his mark as a longtime radio executive, earning the nickname "Radio Dave" for his passion and influence in the broadcasting world. His larger-than-life presence, vision, and leadership helped shape the airwaves, and his legacy lives on in the many lives he touched through his work.
Beyond his career and service, David was a special friend to many. His warmth, humor, and generosity created lasting bonds, and his presence brought joy to all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held in David’s honor at a later date, where friends and family will gather to share memories and pay tribute to a life well lived.
