On Saturday, June 25th, 2022, David Saul Weiss, loving husband, father, and respected pastoral counselor, passed away in the presence of family and God at the age of 79, almost 80!
Dave was born on July 24th, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio to Seymour and June Weiss (step father Louis Muniak). On November 4th 1967, he married the woman he first thought was an angel, Nancy (Colbrunn) Weiss. Together they raised three children, Tim, Matt, and Cora. He earned his Masters degree in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in 1990.
David lived his life for Jesus and showed the spirit of the Lord to all that he met. He devoted his time to provide counseling and touched countless lives over the years. He spent most of his time with his family and helping those in need. In any spare time he enjoyed golfing, doing home improvement projects, water color painting, and gardening with his wife and grandkids.
Dave was preceded in death by his sister Janet Reeds. He is survived by his wife Nancy, children Tim Weiss (Ann), Matt Weiss (Paula), and Cora Kaufhold (Tom), his siblings, Roger Weiss, Susan Muniak, Richard Muniak, Michael Muniak (Heidi), Patrick Muniak, Linda Sayer (Al), Jane Ng (Joe), his grandchildren Makenna Weekley (Connor), Chloe Kaufhold, Taylor Weiss, Penelope Kaufhold, Mitchell Weiss, and Ruby Kaufhold.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 30th 2022 at Christ the King Vineyard, 30635 Lorain Rd in North Olmsted, Ohio with a visitation at 6 pm and a service to follow at 7. Please wear colorful clothing to celebrate the wonderful life that David lived. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Christ the King Vineyard, Hospice of the Western Reserve, or Cornerstone Pregnancy Center.
