Della Marie Watkins' Obituary
Della Marie Watkins, age 86, passed away on February 19, 2026. Born on June 26, 1939, she was the cherished daughter of the late Maggie and Isom Slone. Della’s life was shaped by deep devotion to her family, unwavering kindness, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James R. Watkins, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and family. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the values that continue to guide their children and grandchildren.
Della was the devoted mother of Mary (Gordon) Gilley, Vickie (Andrew) Stevens, James (Tammy) Watkins, Dwayne (Juliette) Susak, Phillip (Kimberlin) Susak, Joseph (Tammy) Susak, and Ken (Michelle) Watkins. Her legacy lives on with her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. She delighted in their milestones, celebrated their successes, and offered endless encouragement and love.
Della is also survived by her brother, Jay Slone, and is reunited in peace with her sisters and brothers who preceded her in death.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generosity, and the way she made every person feel valued. Her presence was a steady comfort, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who loved her.

Visitation is Friday, February 27, 2026, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070. Funeral service is Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
