Delores "Dee" Yurkin's Obituary
Delores "Dee" Yurkin, 85, formerly of Avon Lake, Ohio was welcomed into heaven on October 21, 2021. She was born on August 4, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Elmer Eugene and Lucille Mae (nee Cone) Berndt. Delores was a longtime member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Westlake, Ohio. She will be fondly remembered as a very successful realtor, with her kindness and generosity being a gift to many. Beloved wife of Louis J. Yurkin, Sr. (deceased); loving mother of Diane Ross (Glen), Louis J. Yurkin, Jr. (deceased), and Thomas Yurkin; grandmother of Jon Ross; and faithful canine owner of Parker Dane. Friends and family may gather on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 12 noon for a memorial service followed by a luncheon at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Love-A-Stray Dog Division online at www.loveastraydog.com or by mail to Love A Stray, PO Box 125 Avon Lake, Ohio 44012, to St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 21211 Detroit Rd, Westlake, OH 44116 and to the Alzheimer’s Association.
