Dianna "Jean" Wright's Obituary
Dianna “Jean” Wright, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 surrounded by her family. Jean was born on June 20, 1937 in Huntington, West Virginia. Daughter of the late Louis and Katherine (Hazlett) Batten. Jean is the beloved wife of the late Danny Lee Wright, loving mother of Dawn (Dale) Litrico, Renee (the late Gary) Stier, and Colleen (Duke) Victor; adored grandmother to Jason, Jaime, Danny, Brittany, Dylan, Anthony, and Ashley; and cherished great-grandmother to Kayla, Keaghan, Camden, Colton, Dominic, Emilia, James, Zayn, Delilah, Aiden, and Peyton. Sister to her late brothers Jerry and James Batten and her late sister Joan Batten. Dear friend of Dale who had helped her when needed most. Jean married the love of her life, Danny Lee Wright, on June 18, 1955 and raised three daughters of her own. Jean’s family and friends will miss her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, and her sweet and caring personality. Jean’s passions included spending every precious moment possible with her family, reading, camping, working in her flower gardens, and rooting for the Cleveland Indians. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17th from 5PM until 8PM at the Sunset Chapel located at 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, 44070. Funeral services will be held there on Friday, October 18th at 10AM with Rev. David Loar officiating. Burial will take place immediately following services at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
