Dixie and I shared an apartment when we were pretty fresh out of college. Then when we were old, we found ourselves in the same retirement community! Dixie was a sweet and loving person both times. She told me once that she wasn't afraid to die because she knew where she was going. I am grieving the loss of a very dear friend.
We both loved Dixie. Our friendship of 60 years was full of love and fun. We did so many wonderful things together and enjoyed the company of Dixie and Warren. Dixie and I talked at least once a week while she was at the Ren. We will miss our special friend as we navigate this life without her. We are blessed to have known her. Dick and Karen Bucher
I have many good memories of being in a Faith at Work Group with your mother. She was a very special lady who was involved in many ways at John Knox. May “ good memories “ help comfort the family during this difficult time.
