Donald A. Hutkay's Obituary
Donald A. Hutkay, 90 of Brunswick, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. Don will be fondly remembered for many things, including his love for his model trains and boats, as well as piloting his remote-controlled model planes. Don also loved his motorcycle, his corvette, and attending the local car shows. Don was incredibly talented at being able to fix just about anything, and it was often said: if Don can’t fix it – time to buy a new one! His love, his laugh, and his wonderful sense of humor will be deeply missed by his family and friends, including his dog, Tip.
Don is survived by his daughter, Debra Sako; son, Edward Hutkay (Jody); grandchildren, Matt Sako, Nate Sako, Maria Sako (Steven Simmerman), Josh Hutkay (Elena), Michael Klebowski, Greg Hutkay (Shamalla Gibson), and Cory Hutkay (Ashley Buehner); great grandchildren, Kylee, Grace, Reagan, Lily, Olivia, Sylvanas, Jacob, and Riley; and brothers, Roger Hutkay (Cheryl) and William Hutkay (Georgene, deceased).
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie Jean (nee Sickmiller); and his sister Cheryl Monroe.
The family will receive friends at the SUNSET CHAPEL, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted on Sunday, February 7th from 1-4 pm. The funeral service will be at the SUNSET CHAPEL on Monday, February 8th at 11 am. Face coverings are required, and social distancing is to be observed. Interment at SUNSET MEMORIAL PARK, North Olmsted on Monday, February 8th at 11:45 am.
