Donald M. Pearson's Obituary
Donald M. Pearson, age 85, of Olmsted Twp., passed away peacefully on October 29, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 30, 1934, in Iron Mountain, MI, son of the late Alfred and Emily Myrtle (nee Martin) Pearson.
Donald was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a HAM Radio Operator for 60 years and his call letters were W8IDM. He was a well-known contester. Donald enjoyed spending time at their cottage at the lake in Marblehead on Johnson’s Island. Most importantly, he loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Devoted husband of 39 years to Kathryn “Kay” (nee Knoedler) Pearson; cherished father of Keith (Carole) Pearson, Elizabeth (Arlan) Gerig, Amy (Philip) Pearson Falzarano, and Patricia (Michael) Berg; beloved grandfather of Sam Pearson, Lauren, Logan, and Natalie Gerig, Cara (Enget) Pearson Dang, Jordan (Jolene Wyrick) Goetz, Hannah, Sydney, Colin, and Riley Berg; loving brother of William Pearson.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 6PM – 8PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. A private interment will take place at a later date in Sunset Memorial Park.
