Donald Richard Schreiber, 59, of Lakewood, Ohio passed away on December 13, 2021. He will be missed by his loving children Donald R. (Samantha) and Zachary (Jennifer) Schreiber; cherished grandsons Cameron and Thomas; beloved moth Read Obituary
I worked with Don for many years at Energizer and knew him to be a hardworking, dedicated colleague and a friend to all. He was always ready to lend a hand or offer his knowledge and expertise to anyone who would ask. Very sorry to hear of his passing and my condolences to his family.

Such extreme sad news of Don's passing, at such a young age. Our hearts are broken. Don Bechard and I had the great pleasure of knowing Don when we all worked together at Energizer. Don B. played on the Energizer Basketball Team with Don and a bunch of other great guys. We had so much fun going to the games and then afterwards, headed to the "Mars Bar" for some liquid libations! Don was such a great, fun and very special person. In the early 90's, we used to go over to Don's house on Christmas Eve for several years, bearing gifts for his then, little boys, Donnie and Zachary; not sure if they remember?! Don and I have such wonderful memories. We wish for the family, that their fondest and most beautiful memories, will sustain them all during this very difficult time. I have known Don for many years. I helped him move into his first Lakewood apartment. We golfed together and played softball together too. The funniest story I can recall about Don was in our co-ed Energizer softball team. He played outfield and so did my wife Debbie. While Debbie could field the position well she could not make the long throws into the infield to get people out running the bases. This bothered Don so he came up with a great solution. He told her before the game about this plot to improve on the play by having her throw the ball the shorter distance to him and since he had a canon for an arm he could throw the runners out. When Debbie would field the ball, Don would start moving toward her. It worked and he threw a lot of runners out. The funny part was neither of them told the rest of the team about their plan. So a ball gets to Debbie and she fields it, we are all waiting for this weak throw...she turns toward Don and throws the ball at him. We were all shocked thing "what the heck is going on". Don then fires a fast strike to second base and throws the runner out. We all stopped and laughed out loud. It was a brilliant plan and it worked. Don was a competitor and an innovator.
Was friends with and worked with Don for over 40 years. He always brought a smile to my face. Will be missed greatly. Gary Laisy
