Donna Jean Casey's Obituary
Donna Jean Casey, 91, of Olmsted Township, Ohio passed away on April 25, 2026. Donna was born on July 27, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late George and Mary Friedel.
Donna spent her younger years immersed in the things she loved most — sewing, ceramics, and the joy of making something beautiful from scratch. As the years went on, she blossomed into a true social butterfly. She found her greatest happiness sitting outside, greeting neighbors, friends, and anyone who passed by, sharing warmth with every smile and wave. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William “Bill” Casey, of 50 wonderful years, and 8 siblings. She will be deeply missed by her children Leo (Helene) Casey of Canada and Harry (Jeanne, deceased) Casey of Canada; three grandchildren; and sister of Noreen Friedel, Mary (Magatte) Diop, and Antoinette Friedel.
Family and friends may join the family on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, where a memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM.
