Doris H Gladys' Obituary
Doris H. Gladys,loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away at the age of 92 in North Olmsted, Ohio on December 11, 2022 surrounded by family.
Doris was born on Novemer 19, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio. She celebrated 63 years of marriage with the love of her life, Raymond A. Gladys and together they had three children: Raymond “Randy” (Julie) Gladys, Wendy (Erich) Stohr, and Tracy (Brent) Sharp. Doris is also survived by cherished grandchildren: Aubrey (Lou) Strippy, Bradley (Neely) Gladys, Amy Brown, Katie Mathoslah, Ryan (Caroline) Zaremba, Tyler Stohr, Devin (Amanda) Sharp, Shelby Sharp, Logan Sharp, and Bailey Sharp; as well as beloved great-grandchildren: Emma and Malerie Strippy, Camden and Jordan Gladys, Nora and Madelyn Brown, and Maya Mathoslah.
Doris loved spending time with her family, going on many Disney trips, and cooking delicious foods for them (most famously her eggs and her Kolachkies). Doris will be fondly remembered for her combination of spice and sweetness. She was a cutthroat pinochle player and yet wrote beautiful, heartfelt letters to her loved ones. Doris was also an avid collector of Barbie’s and rings, and she was a dedicated Marc’s shopper. The grocery chain will never be the same without her!
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 4-8 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 12 Noon at the chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
