Growing up during the depression Doris only finished 8th grade and worked to help support her family. She was not one to sit around, she liked to stay busy and was a worker and a giver, she raised her teenage children as a single Mother in the 1950’s and worked multiple jobs to take care of them. She was a popular Tupperware lady and craft show vendor for many years. Known as the Garage sale lady in her neighborhood and even took layaways. She would help anyone in need, her generosity to give even if she didn’t have it was a testament to her care for others and her enormous heart. Doris cleaned homes and hall venues until the age of 86, in her later years she had Walter come along to help. Doris loved driving (especially her Suburban) She loved going to Florida and shopping the flea markets. Doris spent her free time gardening, painting, crafting, playing cards and coloring. She loved to joke around, be sarcastic and have a good laugh. Always loved a party or get together and would always have fun games and prizes for all the kids. Her family was her pride and joy. She will be truly missed and will live on in all of our hearts and endless beautiful memories.
