Doris Mae Krueger's Obituary
Doris Mae Krueger, 91, of Westlake, passed away May 10 ,2019.
Beloved aunt of Sonny (Corky) Krueger, Lovey (Herman) Teichert, Gary Krueger, Lenny (Brenda) Krueger, Danajean Cicerchi, Bruce (Jan) Cicerchi, Kent Cicerchi,; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; cousin and friend of many. Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Rose (Damm) Krueger; siblings Robert (Sarah) Krueger, Raymond Krueger, Harold Krueger, Jeanne (Vincent) Cicerchi; and nephew Douglas Cicerchi. Sincere thanks to the Home Hospice and Ames House staff of Hospice of the Western Reserve for outstanding and sensitive care provided to Doris, her family, and friends.
Doris received her Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from Miami University (1950) and her Masters from Purdue University (1960) as a General Electric Fellow. She taught high school math for 30 years, the last 20 years at West Technical High School which was her alma mater. Doris also sold real estate for 12 years. Accomplishments include being an Officer in the Greater Cleveland Teachers of Mathematics, being on the Board of College Club West, and active in Westlake Center of Community Affairs. She was on the Mission Committee at both Brooklyn Reformed Church and Dover Congregational United Church of Christ. Doris loved golf, bridge, bocci, traveling, and puns.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11 AM at Dover Congregational United Church of Christ, 2239 Dover Center Road, Westlake, OH 44145. Doris asked that her Celebration be filled with stories and laughter offered by the guests. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park.
