Dorothy Marion Berg's Obituary
Dorothy Marion Berg, 102, of Cleveland, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 28, 2023. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 26, 1920, to the late Arthur and Mary Otto (nee Gewanski). She enjoyed music and played for the Halle’s Organ Ensemble in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Dorothy also wrote music and lyrics that was featured on German radio shows and Polka hours. Dorothy also taught Sunday school at her church in Milwaukee during her youth and later taught organ lessons to many students in the Cleveland area. Dorothy moved to Cleveland during WWII when she married Walter Berg who was currently serving in the Navy.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Berg, and her sister Virginia (Roman) Milczarek. Dorothy will be deeply missed by her children, Douglas (Pam) and Jerrold (Rosa) Berg; loving grandmother of Rita, Erica, Stephen, Alex, Bryan; and step-grandchildren Jose, and Stephanie; cherished great-grandmother of Makaila, Dylan, Liliana, Jocelyn, and Eric; and a host of extended family members including Katie, Jaylene, Anthony, Dominic, Deric, Xavier, Aurora, and Rafi.
Visitation and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, 10 AM - 12 PM visitation and 12:00 PM service.
