Dorothy Fodo's Obituary
Dorothy (May) Fodo, 92, of Seven Hills, Ohio, passed away Tuesday September 12, 2023.
Devoted wife for 64 years of Joseph (deceased), beloved mother of Sharon (James) Corbett, Joseph (Heidi) Fodo, Darlene (Edward) Gardner, Ron (Lori) Fodo; loving grandmother of Christopher and Christine Corbett, Carrie (Kent) Yunge, Jaclyn (Daniel) Hauer and Joseph (Kelly) Fodo, Elizabeth (Eric) Havel, Matthew and Andrew Fodo; caring great grandmother of Nora and Zoe Yunge, Charlotte, Cole, and Evan Hauer, Olivia, JD, and Isiah Fodo.
Dorothy graduated from Baldwin Wallace College with a BA in French and Education and taught Junior High School until she and Joseph started their family. Dorothy spoke Hungarian and French fluently and enjoyed adventures with Joseph to destinations throughout the world. Dorothy was an accomplished classical pianist and accompanist sharing her love of music and talent with many.
She enjoyed ballroom dancing with Joseph. Their tango would often clear the dance floor as everyone watched the beautiful couple. For many years you could find Dorothy in the front row of the aerobics classes of Tri -C. She participated in kick boxing into her 80s. Dorothy loved to host the family for Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. She would bake her famous pastries and other Hungarian cuisine for everyone to enjoy.
Dorothy was a loving, compassionate daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Marie for all her love and compassion for our mom.
