Dorothy V. Lis, born February 23, 1925 to Gertrude and Adam Manko. Went home to the Lord on November 8, 2020.
Beloved wife of Joseph (deceased); devoted mother of Linda Misencik (Timothy), Eric (Linda) and Karen DeSoto; grandmother to Rebecca Misencik (Andrew Testa), Lindsay Reuter (James), Michael Konanec, Matthew Lis (Jesse), Joseph Lis (Brittany), Jeffrey Lis, and Jesse DeSoto (Maegan); great-grandmother to Ledger Lis.
Dorothy was raised in Slavic Village and was a homemaker for many years in Brook Park.
During World War II, she was a seamstress at Richman Brothers sewing uniforms for Navy sailors.
She was a beautiful, kind woman with a great personality. She loved her family, friends, and her many pets. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 12, 2020, at St. Clarence Church, 30106 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
