Dorothy V. Wasserman's Obituary
Dorothy V. Wasserman (nee Smith), age 83 of Medina, passed away peacefully September 3, 2021. Dorothy was born in Cleveland, OH on July 23, 1938 to the late George Smith and Matilda (nee Kurtz) Smith.
Dorothy graduated from Olmsted Falls High School where she was a majorette and Daisy Mae basketball player. She worked at Ohio Bell Telephone Company, was a Homemaker and worked in Food Service at Baldwin Wallace University where she received an award naming her ‘Food Service: Woman of the Year’.
She was the beloved wife of the late Donald; the proud mother of Don (Kelly), David (Leslie) and Deana (Greg) King; cherished grandmother of Kelly, Joe, Briana, T.J. (Marina), Haley, Sarah, Corey and Bradley; great-grandmother of Nathan.
Dorothy was devoted to her family and friends with a love of cooking, shopping, decorating, traveling and playing cards. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved, Donald at Sunset Memorial Park.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be announced on a later date.
