Edith Marie Gross' Obituary
Edith M Gross, age 97 of Rockford, MI went to be with our Lord on November 10, 2020.
Edith was born in North Olmsted, OH where she met her husband, William C Gross in the first grade. They went through school together and married when he was home on a furlough from the war. Edith also attended nursing school and became an RN.
They were blessed with five children, Linda (Alan) McFalls, Sandra (Richard) Petersen, Deborah (Pendry) Groff, Jeffrey (Carol) Gross and Melanie (Paul) Gray. She was a devoted Mother that always stressed the importance of family. In 1963, they moved from the Cleveland area to build a home in Hudson, Ohio. She worked for the town doctor and volunteered at Red Cross Blood Banks. She was active in the Hudson United Methodist Church and raised her children to love the Lord.
Bill and Edith retired to Sanford, NC in 1990 and they became very involved in the local community and made many friends. Bill passed away in 1995 and in 2002, Edith moved to Rockford, MI to spend the rest of her life.
She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. They were a great source of joy for her and they loved her dearly.
A family graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 13th at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in North Olmsted, OH.
