Edith Magnone's Obituary
Edith Nell Magnone, 93 years young, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2022. She was surrounded by her daughters and embraced with love. Edith was born on February 16, 1929, in Newport, Tennessee to the late William Bryan and Ola Gannett (nee Holt) Rea. Edith moved to Cleveland at the age of 13, where she met the love of her life, Frank. She graduated from West High School in 1947 and joined the workforce as a teller for Central National Bank where she retired after 40 years of service as a loan officer. She married Frank in 1950 and they resided in West Park, Ohio for 56 years and together they raised a beautiful family filled with warmth and laughter.
She leaves behind a legacy of 3 loving daughters Susan (Paul) Cornelsen, Karen Magnone, and Sharon (Thomas) Cmarik; 9 cherished grandchildren Wayne Sayers, Bryan (Rebecca) Cornelsen, Matthew McMahon, Ben Cornelsen, Jason (Nichole) Magnone, Brenna (Allen) Howell, Phillip (Cari) Magnone, Amanda (Geoffrey) Fox, and Lauren (Andrew) Pettry; and 12 treasured great-grandchildren Carly Sue, John, Jagger, Madisyn, Charlize, Jaxon, Vincent, Hazel, Owen, Gabriella, Isabelle, and Miles. She was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Frank and brother Walter Holt (Eva) Rea.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 4-8 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 9 at 10 AM at the chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, Ohio.
