Edna M. Helmick's Obituary
Edna M. Helmick, 83, of Strongsville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021. She was born on June 4, 1938 in Jefferson, Pennsylvania to the late Thomas and Lotus (nee Callahan) Walters. Edna will be fondly remembered as an avid sports fan and a true Pittsburgh Steelers fanatic. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband Charles Helmick of 62 years; loving daughters Jacque Helmick and Judy Meloche; cherished grandchildren Dana Meloche, Michael Meloche, and Ian Helmick; treasured great grandchild Taven Colon; dear siblings John “Buzz” Walters, Cynthia (Robert) Tisza, and Bonnie Scott-Petersen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Robert, Bud, James, and Thomas Walters. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 4-8 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 10 AM at Sunset Chapel. She will be privately laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Edna’s name to Southwest Hospice, 18659 Drake Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136.
