Mr Edward A. Gerber's Obituary
Edward A. Gerber, born on November 22, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on July 27, 2024. He was the beloved son of Aloysius Gerber and Margaret Hass-Gerber.
Ed dedicated his career to the East Ohio Gas Company, where he served as a supervisor, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Ed was named North Olmsted, Ohio’s, All Scouts Weekend, Mr. Scouter in 1978, and spent 16 years as a volunteer engineer aboard Cleveland’s Steamer WILLIAM G. MATHER Museum. He loved family time and travel, fixing things, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anne Collins-Gerber; his children, Ken, David, and Jean, and is predeceased by his son, Kevin. Edward was a proud grandfather to Jayme, Cortney, Zachary Gerber, Anna, and Delphina. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Karli, Alyson, Lily Mae and Isla Rose and a great-great-grandchild, Roselyn.
Edward’s legacy of love, dedication, and family will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
