Edward Arthur Kus' Obituary
Edward Arthur Kus, 80, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on July 20th, 2025. Born on Staten Island, New York to the late Arthur and Anna Kus on September 17th, 1944, Edward lived a life marked by service, joy, and steadfast devotion.
A proud Army veteran, Edward honorably served his country during the Vietnam War, carrying that same quiet strength and dedication into every facet of his life. For 60 years, he was the cherished husband of Linda (Chomos) Kus, sharing with her a journey full of love, laughter, and simple pleasures—especially their treasured getaways to Amish Country.
Edward was a beloved father to Laura (Michael), and though he mourned the loss of his daughter Kimberly, her memory remained close to his heart. He found great joy in his role as “Grandpa,” lighting up around his grandchildren: Reese, Isaiah, Owen, and Judah. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Kathy and Pat.
To the Cleveland community, Edward was a familiar and joyful presence. Many will remember him as the jolly Santa Claus in local parades, spreading warmth and cheer each holiday season. His faith was a guiding force, reflected in his humble service as an usher and communion assistant at his church. Edward was also a proud member of his local American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), continuing his commitment to fellowship and service beyond his years in uniform.
A memorial service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 21485 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, OH 44126, on Thursday July 31st, 2025 at 3:00pm
