Edward Stickrod's Obituary
Edward Eugene Stickrod was born on February 9, 1937 in Mansfield, Ohio. He passed away on April 19, 2023. He was a weatherman by trade, having worked for the National Weather Service for close to 30 years. He learned his trade while serving in the Army from 1960-1963.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan, with whom he had many great adventures. Edward is survived by his son, Eric, daughter, Anne, and stepdaughter, Susan. He is survived by his daughter in law, Heather; grandchildren Brittani, Evan, Sophia and River; and his great grandchildren, Mila and Marcel; sister, Dian; brother, Tom and sister in law, Morene; nieces and nephews. He was such a great dad, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He loved watching the clouds and could always remember their scientific names. He loved classical music, dancing and traveling, as well as old Westerns. There wasn’t a question he wouldn’t ask on a tour. He was a strong supporter of Save the Children, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
