Eleanor Chaffe's Obituary
Eleanor Chaffe, 86, of Mentor, went to be with the Lord on September 5, 2023. She was born May 16, 1937, in Lakewood, Ohio to the late Paul and Susan (nee Gibbel) Kurucz.
Eleanor's faith was very important to her and she stayed active in her church's women's guild. She enjoyed sewing and square dancing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Chaffe; twin infant daughters; siblings, Mildred, George, and Andrew; and an infant granddaughter, Katrina Chaffe.
She is survived by her loving family, including her children, Robert Chaffe, Cindy (Mark) Roshon, and Ken (Hasnah) Chaffe; grandchildren, Zachary (Abigail) Roshon, Matthew Chaffe, and Jacob Chaffe; great-granddaughter, Lola Roshon; sister, Helen Wise; a sister-in-law, Barbara Kurtz; and other extended family members and friends.
Friends and Family may gather on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 10:00am, with Pastor Paul Sundbom officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband and family at Sunset Memorial Park in Section 2D.
