Eleanor loved sports and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She boasted about attending the 1948 World Series winning game. She made medical history in 1990 when she had a liver transplant at the age of 70 (oldest recipient at the time) and was released from Cleveland Clinic in a record 2 weeks following the transplant surgery. She became a strong advocate of organ donation and was an active mentor to other liver transplant recipients.
Eleanor had a wonderful sense of humor and she had a strong work ethic, which she instilled in her children. She was a lifetime member of the Engelbert Humperdinck fan club. She and Joe never missed a concert when Engelbert was in town. Eleanor and Joe enjoyed traveling. She especially loved their trip to Hawaii.
Christmas was always a special time of the year for Eleanor. The cookie pans would appear, the kitchen would be destroyed, but the cookies were awesome!!!!
We are thankful for the excellent care she received at The Concord Lutheran Home during her final year. Eleanor will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and anyone who knew her. Our Mom ROCKED!!!!!!!
