Betty will be remembered by many, including myself, for her dedication to helping others at the Family History Center, or accommodating in whatever way she could, especially during the pandemic. I always admired her kind, calm manner and her willingness to be of service. Before the rec centers closed we walked together on Mondays, enjoying the latest news. During the past months, Betty and I would work together remotely most every week when she would use her expertise on my family tree. I am so grateful for her efforts in that regard and especially for her friendship. Betty's life is a stellar example of love and goodness and she will be sorely missed.

I have so many wonderful memories of my Aunt Betty. When I was young, she always made the get togethers fun and yummy; wether at her house, my parents, Aunt Maryann/Uncle Harlow's or my grandparents. She was closer in age to us kids & always seemed to know what kids liked. The forever teacher - she always took the time to share, teach, and point out interesting things around us. When I was 6 she let me & my cousin Kathy stay with her for a weekend in her college dorm at NIU!! Oh did we think we were the big wheels!!
I still have the numerous editions of the "family recipe" cookbooks she collated; including Grandma Moeck's best German recipes along with recipes from Moeck family (my Mom's), Gaylord family & Franklin family.
I remember the big family dinners occurring most weekends, birthdays, holidays & special occasions, when we all lived in the Chicago area. As is common these days, families migrate across the US. Betty was integral in keeping our extended family close knit, up to date on family doings and family history. She was the glue that held generations together.
I shall miss my Aunt Betty; her many kindnesses, her gentle yet fun ways and her eternal optimism. I am a better person for having her as my aunt & count my blessings to have been family.

She still is my little sister and grew up to become "Keeper of the Flame". She collected family letters, photos, recipes,stories and memories and posted them in Family Search as part of her dedication to genealogy.
She always kept close contact with her children and siblings and followed and interacted in the lives of all of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

I am sorry for your loss, I will miss Betty, she helped me with my Church calling, as a history consultant. I will miss work along side her in the family history center. help me when I discovered a hint on family Search with my mom's great, great, grandfather which was in german. She is a true caring friend.

We are so sad to hear of Aunt Betty’s passing. I have so many memories of her when she’s come visit her sister (my grandma). It was always so fun to see her, uncle Carl and my grandma together. I have a deep gratitude of the way she made the effort to come to me and my sisters’ weddings and to always make a point to remind us of our grandma. She will be missed, but what a legacy her (and Uncle Phil) have left! Jessica Tate
