Eric D. Pratt Sr.'s Obituary
Eric D. Pratt Sr., age 71 of Brook Park, passed away July 10, 2021. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Judy (nee Williamson); the dear son of the late Richard and Margaret; the loving father of David, Randy (Jennifer “Cookie” DeMarco), Eric Jr. “Buck” (Nora), Danielle, Patricia (Chad) Pittman, Tammy (Jason) Short; the cherished grandfather of Eric III (Katie), Anthony, David Jr., Brieana, Kristen, Daniel (Veronica), Alexander, Kelly, Logan, Lucas, Caitlyn, Trevor, Hailey and Harley; the great grandfather of 7; the brother of Richard “Dick” (Audrey), the late Madge, Greg and Gail (Paul) Henry.
Being the son of a second-generation business owner, Eric knew what it meant to work hard. He became a self-taught skilled tradesman that had a passion for woodworking and automobiles where he strived for a level of perfection all his own.
Eric’s biggest challenge was providing for their six children but there wasn’t anything he couldn’t accomplish with his beautiful wife Judy by his side. Their inseparable relationship provided the strength and encouragement that lasted a lifetime of beautiful memories and the relationships they had built.
His “Work Hard Play Hard” mentality allowed him to engulf his passion for motorcycles and the time he spent riding with family and friends.
He touched each of us in his own way that his memories will repeatedly be played in our minds and will continuously touch our hearts each and every day. Eric was significantly loved and is going to be passionately missed.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 4-8 PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted, where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 N. Ridge Rd. Amherst.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105/ [email protected].
