Evelyn Marie Gorczynski's Obituary
Evelyn Gorczynski, 71, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on August 25, 2024. Born on August 7, 1953, to the late Roger and Mary Wahl, Evelyn was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her sons, Eric (Atziri) Gorczynski and Michael (Lisa) Gorczynski; her cherished grandchildren, Ximena, Liam, Madelyn, Greyson, Noah, Zach, Ryan, and Abby; and her siblings, Kathy, Chris, and Bill. Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey.
Evelyn was known for her generous spirit and dedication to helping others. She was a passionate volunteer, particularly committed to supporting the homeless community. Her love for her cats was well-known, and she found joy in their companionship. Evelyn’s warmth and kindness earned her many friends who will miss her dearly.
Her legacy of giving and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Memorial graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.
Memorial service will be held at Good Soil Lutheran Ministries, 20300 Hilliard Blvd, Rocky River, OH 44116 on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn’s memory to The City Mission https://thecitymission.org/ to help the homeless community in Cleveland.
