Evelyn M. Stansbury's Obituary
Evelyn M. Stansbury, 94, of Hinckley, passed away March 29, 2018.
Beloved mother of Karen (Donald) Shepherd, Steven (Linda) Stansbury, and Cynthia Zales; loving grandmother of 11; dear great grandmother of 13; great great grandmother of 7; and cherished sister of Anita Fondale. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Stansbury; her parents Cornelius and Agnes (Lauter) DeYong; and siblings Dorothy Wersh and Herbert DeYong.
Evelyn was a great parent to her children and she raised them lovingly and to be good people. She opened her home and her heart to her grandchildren Amy, Janet, Wendy, Audrey, Molly, Vanessa, Robert, Stephanie, Melissa, Donald, and Brian. Her greatest joy was offering help and support to them throughout their life. She just loved her little sweeties Vincent, Amanda, Anthony, Nicholas, Jacob, Tyler, Megan, Brittany, Teyha, Sweetie, Adalyn, Ciara, and Miabella and enjoyed sharing hugs. Evelyn always asked how they were and smiled when she heard updates. As a great great grandparent, she took delight in her littlest family members and was always ready with a great big hug. She will be remembered for her love of books which she kept journals of the titles and often discovered she had read a book twice. Evelyn was a diehard Indians fan and asked if they were winning up until her last days. The Stansbury Family is happy she made it to 94 years and that she is now with her husband Robert, Wendy, Molly, and all her loved people in Heaven. We LOVE you Ma, Nanny!
